Position/Wage Details

The dbi Staff Scheduler software supports individual wage costing for any or all Positions/Tasks in an organization.  By default, the hourly cost for an employee is set in their staff profile.  In some organizations however, different wages are paid for staff performing different positions/tasks.  To support this requirement dbi Staff Scheduler allows the user to define Position/Wage details that describe the hourly wage paid to an employee when they are performing a specific position/task. For example, if a staff member's default hourly wage is $7.45 but they are paid $8.15 when they are working as a bartender, then the Position/Wage detail for the bartender position would be set to $8.15. In this manner, the staff member's cost working as a bartender would be calculated using $8.15 instead of the default $7.45.

NOTE: If no Position/Wage details exist, the staff member’s cost is calculated using the Default Hourly Rate as defined in the Staff Member’s profile regardless of what position/task they have been scheduled to perform.
